MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006600 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'secured suitcase connecting device.'
Inventor(s) include Nidhi Chahal; Priyanka Sood; Dr. Rachin Goyal; Sukhnik Singh; Prabhdeep Singh; Shivam Sharma; and Gurdeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured suitcase connecting device comprises of a body 1 positioned over aligned suitcase(s), a pair of motorized clamps 2 for gripping a handle to affix the body 1, a microphone 3 to receive a user's voice command, an AI-based imaging unit 4for capturing multiple images, a multi-sectioned metallic sheet 5 for unwrapping the sheet 5 for protruding out of the housing, a pair of extendable sliding unit for translating gripped sheet 5, multiple motorized clippers 7 to grip lateral sides of the unwrapped sheet 5, a pair of motorized grippers 8 for gripping the handle of the suitcase, an impact sensor for monitoring impact force experienced by the sheet 5, a biometric sensor 9for receiving biometrics of the user, grippers 8 for releasing grip from the handle and an electromagnetic lock 10 for attaching the sections in a sequential manner."
