MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014320 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'secured storage device for postman.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pradeep Gaur; Dr. Deepak Dhadwal; Arsh Vats; and Ishu.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured storage device for postman, comprises of a body 1 having multiple compartments 2 for storing letters, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 3 to capture multiple images of a user for detecting position of shoulder of a postman, a pair of roller wrapped with straps 5 configured with an electromagnet to lock the compartments 2, a bar code scanner 6 to scan barcode printed on the letters, a GPS module to determine a route for reaching at client's address, a speaker 7 to guide a postman in reaching the client's address, a fingerprint scanner 8 to authenticate the postman, an electromagnetic lock to determine intervention of any unauthenticated user, a moisture sensor to determine the presence of moisture within the body 1 and a blower 9 to blow air for removing the moisture."
