MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022903 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'secured pet protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured pet protection device, comprises of a wearable component 1 for engaging on head portion of a pet animal, pair of cavities 2 for engaging ears of animal, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing and processing multiple images, a communication module for establishing a wireless connection, a LDR (light dependent resistor) sensor integrated on component 1 for monitoring light intensity, an extendable C-shaped flap 4 arranged on front portion of component 1 to get extended, an angle sensor integrated for monitoring angle of animal with respect to a ground surface, an inflatable layer 5 assembled on inner periphery of cavity to get inflated, a proximity sensor integrated on wearable component 1, a motorized roller 6 is integrated at back portion of component 1, a sheet coiled 7 on the motorized roller 6, a Location tracker to track location of pet animal."
