MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024816 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'secured locker device for public places.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Dr. Preeti Sharma; Vrinda; and Lakshay Narula.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured locker device for public places, comprising of a frame having multiple sections 1 for accommodates commodities of the user, a touch interactive display panel 2 for enabling the user to provide input, a flap 3 for allowing the user to accommodate user's commodities inside the section, a motorized hinge 4 for providing converging/diverging movement to the flap 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 facilitates capturing and processing multiple images of the section, a drawer arrangement 6 to extend/retract the section for increasing dimensions of the section, a slot 7 for accommodating user's footwear in the slot 7, a first and second motorized rollers 8 coiled with plurality of brushes 9 to rotate for dusting the detected dirt/dust from upper and lower portion of the accommodated footwear."
