MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014274 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'secured grain storage silo.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rinkesh; Dr. Mohit; Diksha; and Devinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured grain storage silo, comprising a cylindrical body 1 positioned vertically over a fixed surface, a biometric sensor 4 is accessed by a registered user to provide biometric for verification purpose, a touch interactive display panel 5 exhibits options regarding dispensing grain and filling of body 1, a motorized sliding lid 9 enables user to fill grain in body 1, two chambers 6 installed over outer periphery of body 1 and connected to body 1 via perforations, multiple air blowers 11 blow air within body 1 via perforations 10 to separate dust from grain which is collected within another chamber 6 via perforations, an iris aperture 7 dispenses grain within an auxiliary container, an impact sensor monitors force applied by an unauthorized person while opening lid 9, and a camera 8 captures images of person which are sent to computing unit of user along with an alert notification."
