MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018853 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'secured fastag covering device.'

Inventor(s) include Rahul Vishnoi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured FASTag covering device, comprises of an extendable frame 1 developed to be positioned by a user at inner surface of a windshield, a handle 2 attached with the frame 1 for providing a grip to user for positioning frame 1 on the inner surface of the windshield, an imaging unit 3 to determine the presence and size of FASTag adhered on the windshield, a holographic projection unit 4 to project a holographic image on the inner surface in placing the frame 1 underneath the FASTag, an ultrasonic sensor to detect placement of the frame 1 underneath the FASTag, multiple suction units to generate negative-pressure to adhere frame 1 on the windshield, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by the user to provide input details regarding covering and exposing the FASTag and a pair of telescopically operated clips 8 to deploy the sheet 7."
