MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013282 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'secured door locking device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured door locking device comprises of an expandable rectangular frame 1 developed to be installed underneath the door that is to be locked, multiple primary suction cups 2 for affixing the expandable rectangular frame 1 with the door, a motorized drawer arrangement 3 for expanding/compressing in order to increase or decrease the size of the expandable rectangular frame 1, multiple motorized hinge joints for deploying multiple blocks 4 and restrict the movement of the door, multiple secondary suction cups 5 for affixing with the front portion of the door, an electromagnetic spring 6 to eliminate vibrations of the door during engaging and releasing of the block, a speaker 7 for generating voice commands and notifying the user to register authenticity, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 8 for capturing multiple images of the user, and a fingerprint sensor 9 to register authenticity of the user."
