MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019286 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'secured device for handling external memory cards.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Priyanka Tripathi; and Bhawna Saraswat.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured device for handling external memory cards device, comprising a frame 1 configured with a handle 2 for providing grip to a user, a magnetically operated holder 3 attached with the frame 1 for securing a memory card, a touch sensor 4 installed on the holder 3 for detecting the card placement, an ultrasonic sensor 5 installed on the holder 3 for detecting alignment of holder 3 with a port, a temperature sensor 7 assembled on the handle 2 for detecting handle 2 temperature, a Peltier unit 8 installed on the handle 2 for cooling handle 2, a motorized fan 9 arranged inside the frame 1 for circulating cool air inside the frame 1, a dust sensor 10 installed on frame 1 for detecting dust particles and an air blower 11 assembled on holder 3 for cleaning dust particles."
