MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014277 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'secured deposit items management device for shopping complex.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Seema Rani; Diksha Verma; Anmol; Gurleen Kaur; and Ayush Jain.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured deposit items management device for shopping complex comprises a cuboidal body 1 configured with a circular platform configured with plurality of compartments 2 for storage of items, plurality of rods 3 installed with the body 1 for support to the body 1, a motorized roller 4 installed on the body 1 and wrapped with a sheet 5 having a free-end attached with a pair of pins 6, a proximity sensor positioned on the body 1 for detecting presence of the customer, a pair of motorized sliders 7 configured with the pins 6 for translating the pins 6, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 installed on the body 1 for determining customer item's respective compartment, a microphone 9 positioned on the body 1 for customer's voice commands, and a DC (Direct Current) electric motor 10 coupled with the platform for rotating the platform to position the determined chamber."
