MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019314 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'secured bicycle holding device.'
Inventor(s) include Poonam Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured bicycle holding device, comprising a curve shaped frame 1 having a first 2 and second portion 3 positioned on a ground surface, a cuboidal block 4 provides support to frame 1, an AI based imaging unit 5 determines presence along with distance of a bicycle, a pneumatically operated column 6 retracts to position frame 1 over ground, a holographic projection unit 7 guides user in loading bicycle on first portion 2 which is detected by a weight sensor mapped on frame 1, a C-shaped clamp 9 for clamping bicycle's wheel and followed by extension of column 6 to lift frame 1, a sensing module installed on frame 1 for detecting presence of rain and dust, multiple motorized hinge 10 moves an inverted U-shaped link 11 for deploying a canopy 12 to cover bicycle, a fingerprint sensor pressed by user to authenticate and accordingly clamp 9 releases bicycle."
