MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521118929 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Nov. 28, 2025, for 'secured and adaptive management system for student lodges.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured and adaptive management system for student lodges, comprises gate assembly installed at an entrance and exit points of an enclosure, a pair of motorized slidable gates 101 for allowing entry and exit from the enclosure, at least one monitoring unit for detecting approaching individuals and authorization of the individuals, a user interface for receiving alert upon detecting unauthorized access, card reader 102 to scan and verify authorization of student identity cards, a cargo inspection unit 103 for receiving luggage that is scanned to detect prohibited and suspicious items, an individual scrutiny module to scan individuals for concealed unauthorized items, plurality of artificial intelligence-based imaging cameras to monitor student activities, and detect disturbances, a display unit 107 positioned near the entrance and exit gates to show real-time updates and visitor authorization status, a plurality of acoustic sensors integrated with GPS module to detect and locate excessive or unusual sounds."
