MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531131482 A) filed by Kalinga Institute Of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Dec. 24, 2025, for 'secure steganographic data protection system integrating rsa and aes encryption.'

Inventor(s) include Pradhan, Chittaranjan; and Ghosh, Shrutilekha.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a secure steganographic data protection system including an encryption module configured to encrypt file data using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption with an AES key, an encryption module configured to encrypt the AES key using Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) encryption, a steganographic embedding module configured to conceal the encrypted file data within digital media files, an extraction module configured to extract the concealed encrypted file data from the digital media files, and a decryption module configured to decrypt the extracted encrypted file data by decrypting the AES key using RSA decryption and decrypting the file data using the decrypted AES key. The steganographic embedding module conceals the encrypted file data within both PDF document metadata and image pixel values using least significant bit steganography techniques that modify pixel values while maintaining visual appearance of carrier media files."
