Abstract: ABSTRACT “SECURE DEVICE-TO-DEVICE (D2D) COMMUNICATION IN A TRUST-CHAIN BASED NETWORK” The Present invention relates to a method and apparatus for leveraging store and forward (S&F) information within a communication system. The method includes a first electronic device (100) receiving an S&F information request message from a second electronic device (200), which seeks to obtain S&F information for application enablement. The first electronic device (100) then authenticates and authorizes the second electronic device (200) requesting the S&F information. Upon successful authentication and authorization, the first electronic device (100) generates an S&F information response message by incorporating the requested S&F information and transmits this response message back to the second electronic device (200). The present invention ensures secure and efficient transfer of S&F information, facilitating enhanced application enablement within the communication system. FIG. 7
