MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202528092796 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Sept. 26, for 'secondary cell activation and deactivation enhancements in new radio.'

Inventor(s) include Ang, Peter, Pui Lok; Gaal, Peter; Luo, Tao; Montojo, Juan; Chen, Wanshi; and Lee, Heechoon.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include transmitting a first signal instructing a user equipment (UE) to transition a state of a secondary cell associated with the UE; determining an allocation of resources for the UE to communicate with the secondary cell; and transmitting a second signal including an indication of an active bandwidth part (BWP) used for the allocation of resources based on the determining. The active BWP and the first signal may indicate the transition of the state of the secondary cell."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 24, 2018, under International application No.PCT/US2018/057377.
