MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058880 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 19, for 'secondary battery and method for manufacturing the same.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Mi, Na; Hwang, Soo Ji; Kim, Jin Hyung; and Yu, Hyung Kyun.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: a first electrode assembly having a plurality of first electrode tabs bonded to each other; a second electrode assembly having a plurality of second electrode tabs bonded to each other and stacked on the first electrode assembly; an electrode lead connected to the first electrode tab; and a conductive connection member for connecting the second electrode tab and the electrode lead. The electrode lead may include: a tab bonding part bonded to the first electrode tab; a bridge part bendable or foldable in one rotation direction from the tab bonding part; and a lead part bendable or foldable in the other rotation direction from the bridge part. One end of the conductive connection member may be bonded to the bridge part or the lead part."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 13, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/020526.
