MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064508 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 7, for 'secondary battery.'
Inventor(s) include Yun, Hyun Woong; and Kim, Yo Jin.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a secondary battery. Specifically, the present invention provides a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly which comprises a cathode, an anode, and a separator stacked together; a capture unit within which a negative pressure is established and which is disposed in a position adjacent to the electrode assembly; and a battery case in which the electrode assembly and the capture unit are accommodated, wherein, if the internal pressure in the battery case is a predetermined pressure or higher, the capture unit is broken and captures gas to regulate the internal pressure."
