MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055900 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 10, for 'secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Jung, Hyun Ok; Chun, Yong Ho; and Lee, Jong Min.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secondary battery, according to an embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: an electrode assembly; a frame surrounding the circumference of the electrode assembly to accommodate the electrode assembly and having an insulating material; and a pair of external sheets sealed with respect to the frame on both sides of the frame to cover the electrode assembly. A groove facing the outside of the frame may be formed in the frame to increase a sealing area between each of the outer sheets and the frame."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 01, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/019726.
