MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514078206 A) filed by Aesc Japan Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, on Aug. 18, 2025, for 'secondary battery, battery pack and electronic apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secondary battery (100), a battery pack (1002), and an electronic apparatus are provided. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly (120), a battery housing (200) configured to define an accommodating cavity used to accommodate the electrode assembly and having an opening (205), and a cap plate assembly (220) covering the opening of the battery housing to encapsulate the electrode assembly. The cap plate assembly includes a cap plate body (90) and an insulating layer (93) located on a surface (90s) of the cap plate body facing the electrode assembly. Through the above technical solution, the corrosion resistance of the cap plate assembly of the secondary battery is at least improved."
