MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023445 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'seating-based massaging device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A seating-based massaging device that comprises of a rectangular platform 1 positioned on a ground surface and installed with an L-shaped frame 2 for accommodating a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on the frame 2 and paired with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images of the user, the microcontroller actuates a pair of motorized rollers 9 configured with a pair of straps 10 attached with the frame 2, a motorized lead screw arrangement 4 configured between the platform 1 and frame 2 for lifting/lowering the frame 2, multiple electromyography sensor positioned on the frame 2 for detecting muscle activity of the user and a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 5 installed at either side of the frame 2, and a pair of motorized sliders 7 for translating the positioning the rods 5 over the user's body."
