MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079832 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'seating assistive device for performing meditation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A seating assistive device for performing meditation, comprises of an L-shaped frame 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the frame 1 on a ground surface, a cushioned platform 3 arranged on frame 1 for providing comfort to a user while attaining a seating posture, multiple bars 4 providing support to the user's back while sitting on the platform 3, a touch interactive display panel 5 for enabling a user to input details regarding a height that the user desires to attain while meditating, a disc cam arrangement integrated between rods 2 and frame 1 for lifting the frame 1 at a user specified height, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 for determining initiation of a meditation process, multiple rollers 7 for unwinding a noise cancellation curtain around the user and a telescopically operated clipper 8 for gripping and adjusting angle of the users neck."
