MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202637038459 A) filed by Nok Corporation, Tokyo, on March 28, for 'sealing device and rubber composition.'

Inventor(s) include Anzai Takahiro; Tsutsui Takahiro; Inoue Ibuki; Kawasaki Hiromu; and Aoyagi Yuichi.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a novel sealing device capable of suppressing friction even in boundary lubrication or mixed lubrication. A sealing device (1) comprises a seal member (6). The seal member (6) contains a rubber composition. The rubber composition contains a compound having a functional group at a terminal and having an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 4 or more carbon atoms."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 15, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/029115.
