MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020047 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'screw fastening assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Jasvir Singh Rana; V. K. Tyagi; and Dhruv Joshi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A screw fastening assistive device comprises of an extendable L-shaped body 1 configured with a suction cup 2 developed to be utilized by a user for manually adhering the body 1 on a screwdriver that is to be utilized by the user for fastening/unfastening a screw, a camera 4 mounted on the body 1 to capture multiple images of surrounding to detect dimension of the screw that is being unfastened by the screw driver, a pair of jaws 5 hinged with a free-end of the body 1 to grip the screw via each of the jaws 5, an electromagnet fabricated with each of the jaws 5 to secure the screw between the jaws 5 as a means of aiding the user to unfasten the screw via the screw driver, a speaker 6 for guiding the user to maintain a correct angle of the screw driver on the screw."
