MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050549 A) filed by Johnson Matthey Public Limited Company, London, on May 26, for 'scr catalyst article and systems for reducing n2o in exhaust gas.'

Inventor(s) include Alcove Clave, Silvia; Collier, Jillian; Georgieva, Veselina Mihaylova; Green, Alexander Nicholas Michael; Mantarosie, Loredana; Ruggeri, Maria Pia; and Villamaina, Roberta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An exhaust gas treatment system comprising a first catalyst article comprising a first catalyst composition and a second catalyst article downstream of the first catalyst article comprising a second catalyst composition. The first and second catalyst compositions are different. The first catalyst composition is an SCR catalyst composition and the second catalyst composition comprises an Fe- loaded small- or medium-pore molecular sieve, the small- or medium-pore molecular sieve having a silica-to-alumina ratio (SAR) of from 6 to 19. An SCR catalyst article comprising a substrate having thereon a second catalyst composition downstream of a first catalyst composition, wherein the first and second catalyst compositions are different and wherein the first catalyst composition is an SCR catalyst composition and the second catalyst composition comprises an Fe-loaded small- or medium-pore molecular sieve, the small- or medium-pore molecular sieve having a silica-to-alumina ratio (SAR) of from 6 to 19."
