MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527077265 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Aug. 13, for 'scheduling methods and apparatuses for sidelink positioning reference signal.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications. Provided are scheduling methods and apparatuses for a sidelink positioning reference signal. A scheduling method for a sidelink positioning reference signal comprises: when a user equipment has a triggered sidelink positioning reference signal (SL PRS) and the user equipment has no available sending resource, sending a resource request to a network device, wherein the available sending resource is used for the user equipment to send the triggered SL PRS. By using the scheduling methods and apparatuses for a sidelink positioning reference signal provided in the present disclosure, a base station can be informed of the case that a terminal requires a sending resource for sending a triggered SL PRS, such that the triggered SL PRS can be sent out in a timely manner."
