MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133738 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'scalable millifluidic photoreactor for continuous photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Singh; and Suhanya Duraiswamy.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a millifluidic photoreactor cell comprises: a) a polyfoam@ZnO/CuNiS beads comprising a polyfoam bead coated with ZnO/CuNiS nanoparticles as photocatalyst; and b) an optically transparent tubing comprising at least one input and at least one output; wherein, upon application of a light source, the reactor cell is configured to transform at least one reactant into at least one reformate."
