MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020119 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'scaffold preparation device for construction.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A scaffold preparation device for construction, comprising an L-shaped platform 1 positioned in contact with a vertical bar pre-installed on a ground surface, a microphone 2 positioned on the platform 1 for enabling a user to give voice commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on the platform 1 for detecting diameter of the bar, a pair of C-shaped motorized expandable clamps 4 installed with the platform 1 to grip the bar, a motorized roller 5 installed with each of the clamps 4 for lifting the platform 1 along the bar, a pair of telescopically operated grippers 6 installed with the platform 1 for gripping the bar to stabilize the platform 1 at the user-defined height for allowing the user to prepare the scaffold."
