MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517070999 A) filed by Trutzschler Group Se, Monchengladbach, Germany, on July 25, for 'sawtooth clothing for a card or carding machine.'

Inventor(s) include Heetderks, Bodo; Haarer, Friedrich; and Gabler, Peter.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a sawtooth clothing for a card or carding machine, having a tooth root (2) and a plurality of teeth (3) which are arranged one behind the other and protrude beyond the tooth root (2), wherein each tooth (3) comprises a tooth face (5), a tooth tip (7) and a tooth rear (4) and each tooth rear (4) transitions into the tooth face (5) of the following tooth (3) via a rounded tooth gullet (6). The invention is characterised in that each tooth (3) has, in its tooth face (5), at least two, preferably at least three, waved depressions (V1, V2, V3) (wave trough), which increase in size with increasing distance from the tooth tip (7), wherein the depressions (V1, V2, V3) are formed by first radii (R1, R2, R3), wherein at least two first radii (R1, R2 or R2, R3) are directly or indirectly connected by one second radius (RB) in each case (wave peak)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/053255.
