MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521083225 A) filed by Gauri Harindran Nambiar, Nashik, Maharashtra, on Sept. 2, for 'saturable-core inductors, methods of manufacturing and testing the same, and reactive power compensation systems.'
Inventor(s) include Gauri Harindran Nambiar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a saturable-core inductor, methods of manufacturing and testing the same, and reactive power compensation systems. The saturable core inductor comprises a magnetic core, a primary power winding, an insulation system and a thermal management assembly. The magnetic core defines a closed magnetic path and includes at least one engineered reluctance region. The primary power winding is disposed about the magnetic core and adapted to carry an alternating current. The insulation system is disposed about the primary power winding and coordinated to a rated system voltage class. An effective inductance of the saturable-core inductor decreases monotonically with increasing current beyond a knee current. The knee current is determined at least in part by magnetic properties of a core material of the magnetic core and a geometry of the at least one engineered reluctance region."
