MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117023 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'sand sieving device.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjay Choudhary.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sand sieving device comprises of a body 101 configured with a support frame 113 to rest on a ground surface, a dual-stage rotating drum assembly 102 above a container 103 beneath, includes an outer drum 102 with coarse mesh and an inner drum 102, a touch interactive display panel 104 to input sand quantity and desired particle size, a plurality of links 105 in a crisscross manner to filter sand from impurities, a pair of motorized sliding arrangements 106 for optimized positioning, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 107, captures and analyzes sand images to detect impurity size, a DC electric motors 108 rotate the drums 102 in opposite directions, with the outer drum 102 removing large debris, while four linear actuators 109 auto-adjust tilt accordingly, a vibrating units 110 aids sieving a water pump 111 operatively connected to a water reservoir 112 for spraying water based on the humidity."
