MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117039 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'sand sieving and handling device.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Jakhar.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sand sieving and handling device comprises of a platform 101 installed with multiple omnidirectional wheels 102 positioned over a ground surface enables autonomous movement, a display module 103 for sieving and sand handling, a mesh bed 104 via a pair of extendable rods 105 which extend or retract to regulate the tilt angle, a hopper 106 for sand input, a sand distribution module 108, an inspection unit 107 detects sand distribution and obstructions, a debris ejector module 109 dislodges and directs debris and a flap gate 110 via a hinge joint 111 provides discharge of sieved sand into a designated sack and a sand distribution module to evenly distribute sand over the mesh bed."
