MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003694 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'sand screeding device.'

Inventor(s) include Puneet Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sand screeding device, comprising a U-shaped frame 1 arranged with a pair of elongated plates 2, developed to be positioned on a ground surface poured with sand, a touch enabled screen 3 accessed by user to input command sand screeding on ground surface along with specifying distance for sand screeding, a motorized roller 4 equipped with an Archimedes blade 5 installed with frame 1 via a pair of L-shaped telescopic operated bars 6 for extending to spread sand in ground surface, a curved-shaped member 7 installed with frame 1 via a pair of rods 8 for tilting rods 8 via hinges to position member 7 in contact with ground surface, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 9 for maneuvering frame 1 on ground surface, a camera 10 for detecting presence of stones on ground surface, and a robotic arm 11 for discarding stone in a chamber 12 arranged with frame 1."
