MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019223 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'sand paper cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pritam Keshari Sahoo.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sand paper cutting device, comprising a rectangular base 101 having a rectangular plate 102 mounted vertically on base 101, a motorized primary roller 103 is installed horizontally on plate 102 for placing an end of a sandpaper roll on primary roller 103 for cutting, a secondary roller 104 configured on a sliding unit 105 installed on plate 102 for placing a second end of sandpaper roll for cutting, a motorized shaft 106 disposed horizontally on a dual-axis lead screw mechanism 107 mounted on plate 102, multiple annular blades 108 is incorporated on sliders 109 provided shaft 106 for cutting different widths of sandpaper roll held on primary and secondary roller 104, an imaging unit 110, in synchronization with a laser sensor determines width of sandpaper roll, a rectangular tray 111 installed horizontally on plate 102, underneath primary and secondary roller 104 for holding cut strips of sandpaper roll."
