According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This project presents the design and development of an interactive Sales Dashboard using Power BI Desktop tools to analyze and visualize sales performance data effectively. The main objective of the project is to transform raw sales and product data into meaningful insights that support data-driven decision-making for businesses. The analysis is carried out using two datasets: one containing sales transaction details such as date, quantity, sales type, payment mode, and discount percentage, and another containing product information including product ID, category, buying price, selling price, and unit of measure. Power BI Desktop is used for data cleaning, data modeling, and creating dynamic visualizations such as charts, tables, and slicers. Key performance indicators like total sales, revenue, profit, and discount impact are calculated using DAX functions. The dashboard enables analysis of sales performance across product categories, individual products, payment modes, and sales types. The results reveal important trends such as high-performing product categories, customer buying patterns, the dominance of direct sales channels, and the influence of discounts on revenue."
