MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017912 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'sagged door repairing device.'

Inventor(s) include Ajay Kumar Upadhyay.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a sagged door repairing device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch screen 2 accessed by a user to give input commands regarding repairing of sagged door, a camera 3 mounted on housing 1 for detecting location of hinges of the door, a corrosion sensor positioned on housing 1 for detecting corrosion on hinges based on which a microcontroller actuates a nozzle attached with a chamber installed on housing 1 for dispensing corrosion removing solution on the hinges, a pair of grippers 6 configured with housing 1 for lifting the door to align with the door frame, a robotic arm 7 attached on housing 1 for gripping iron nails from a chamber mounted on housing 1 and inserting the nails within hinges, an L-shaped rod 8 equipped with a cylindrical member 9 configured on housing 1 for positioning the member 9 towards the hinges."
