MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022849 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'safety enhancing assistive device for concert stages.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A safety enhancing assistive device for concert stages, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on concert stage, plurality of suction cups 2 affixes the platform 1 with the stage, a camera 3 captures images of the surroundings, a gesture detection sensor detects the hand gestures made by the artist for performing/ going beyond the stage, an extendable plate 4 accommodates an artist performing on the stage, a pair of motorized pivot joints 5 providing angular motion to the plate 4, multiple hydraulically operated rods 6 extend and position the rods 6 in contact with ground, a proximity sensor detects presence and distance of incoming objects, a pair of motorized hinge joints 7 tilt and deploy U-shaped transparent member front of the artist, a temperature sensor monitors temperature of the surrounding, multiple air blowers 8 blow air to maintain the temperature."
