MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023106 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'safety and travelling device for scalable buildings.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A safety and travelling device for scalable buildings comprises of a mounting frame 1 having a plurality of sliding frame members 2 enabling the mounting of the device on parallel wall surfaces having varying distances with respect to each other, a vacuum suction member is provided on each sliding frame member for preventing the slippage of the mounting frame from the surfaces, a roller 3 actuated by a chute motor attached across a chute frame 4 having telescopic frame pipes 5 with hinged connections for containing a chute fabric in a rolled manner to store and deployment of the chute, a smoke sensor and a heat sensor connected to the processor are on the mounting frame for alerting a user against unsafe deployment and suggesting a favorable deployment site."
