MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541114806 A) filed by Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'safekii-womens safety device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "SafeKii is a compact and portable women's safety device designed to offer instant protection and communication during emergencies. The system is powered by an ESP32-C3 microcontroller that controls an active buzzer, LED torch, and GPS module. Upon activation, the device emits a loud alarm, lights the torch, and transmits the user's real-time location to pre-registered emergency contacts via an .integrated mobile application, which allows live tracking. It operates on a rechargeable power source with efficient energy management for extended standby operation. A manually operated pepper spray mechanism is included for direct physical defense. The integrated and compact design ensures quick response, ease of use, and reliability, making SafeKii a practical personal safety solution aimed at empowering women and individuals in vulnerable situations."
