MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026085 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'safe swinging-based amusement device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Dr. Shivani Vaid; Manisha; Namita; and Simarjot Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A safe swinging-based amusement device, comprising a frame 1 having a hydraulically operated rod installed on a ground surface and suspended with an inverted V-shaped member 2 and body is developed to accommodate at least two individuals, a camera 3 mounted on the platform for detecting presence and average height of individuals in proximity to the frame 1, a chair-like seating structure 4 configured on each ends of the member 2 for allowing the individuals to attain a seating posture over the structure 4 and a disc 5 housed within the member 2 for providing a swinging motion to the stricture, thus providing swinging amusement to the seated individuals."
