MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133978 A) filed by B. S. S. Narayan; and G. Poornima, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 's.h.e(sustained human excellence):a cognitive engine and method for regulating human artificial inte.'

Inventor(s) include B. S. S. Narayan; and G. Poornima.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computer-implemented, platform-agnostic cognitive governance system and method are disclosed for sustaining long-term human cognitive performance in artificial intelligence--enabled digital environments. The system selectively observes human-artificial intelligence interactions across one or more tools, interfaces, or platforms using privacy-preserving mechanisms that extract only contextually required interaction signals. A cognitive interaction engine, referred to in one embodiment as S.H.E (Sustained Human Excellence), evaluates the balance between independent human cogmttve activity and artificial intelligence assistance using neuroscience-informed and age-adaptive cognitive models. Based on such evaluation, the system provides contextual, non-intrusive guidance to encourage intentional and appropriate use of artificial intelligence while preserving core human cognitive capabilities, including reasoning, linguistic proficiency, articulation, memory, and mental agility. The system incorporates feedback-driven learning to continuously refine cognitive models and guidance effectiveness, and operates within a closed, security-first and privacy-first framework. The invention enables responsible and sustainable artificial intelligence usage by prioritizing long-term cognitive excellence over short-term productivity gains."
