MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073972 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'rubber latex extraction system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Komal Saini; and Prachi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rubber latex extraction system, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface grown with rubber tree, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 for maneuvering the platform 1 on the ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 detect exact location of the trees, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 4 attached with a pneumatic blade 5 for carving a slit in the bark of trees, plurality of hemispherical bodies 6, associated with the system, stored in a chamber 7 positioned on the platform 1, a telescopically operated gripper 8 for gripping and positioning one of the bodies 6 underneath the carved slit, and a pair of pneumatic pins 9 via a pair of links, insert in the bark for securing the bodies 6 with the bark."
