MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089056 A) filed by Toyo Denso Kabushiki Kaisha, Tokyo, on Sept. 18, 2025, for 'rotation angle detection device.'

Inventor(s) include Shoji Kishi; Toshiya Yoshida; Kohei Tajima; Toshikazu Murata; and Yoshihiko Koibuchi.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rotation angle detection device of the present disclosure includes: a throttle grip rotatable about a shaft of a handlebar; a magnetic sensor fixed to the handlebar; a magnet that rotates together with the throttle grip and rotates relative to the magnetic sensor; and a shield made of a magnetic material and including a main part and lateral side parts, the main part being located on a side opposite to the handlebar with respect to an area of arrangement of the magnetic sensor, the lateral side parts being located on sides of respective ends of the main part and arranged in such a manner as to sandwich the area of arrangement."
