MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202637025510 A) filed by Shanghai Highly Electrical Appliances Co. Ltd., Shanghai, on March 4, for 'rotary compressor, air conditioning system, and control method.'

Inventor(s) include Shi, Xingxing; Liu, Xiaoqiang; and Geng, Wei.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rotary compressor, an air conditioning system, and a control method. The rotary compressor comprises an upper cylinder head (11), a lower cylinder head, and a cylinder (13) between the upper cylinder head (11) and the lower cylinder head, wherein a rotor is provided within the cylinder (13); the upper cylinder head (11) or/and the lower cylinder head is provided with a pressure relief channel (111) in communication with a compression cavity of the cylinder (13); a first end of a tube (9) is connected to the pressure relief channel (111), and a second end of the tube (9) is in communication with an air suction cavity of the cylinder (13) or with a device (2) in communication with the air suction cavity; and a first valve (91) is disposed between the two ends of the tube (9), the first valve (91) being used to block or open the tube (9). The described rotary compressor is provided with a tube which connects a compressor compression cavity and an air suction cavity or device in communication with the air suction cavity; when the rotary compressor stops running, opening a valve that controls the tube allows the pressure difference between a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side of the compressor to be balanced more quickly, thus shortening the time required to restart the rotary compressor after shutdown."
