MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022854 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'rope swing installation assistive device for trees.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rope swing installation assistive device for trees comprises of an elongated telescopically operated frame 1 having a first end attached with a handle for holding the frame, a hook 2 installed with the member to engaged with free-end of a rope, a microphone 3 positioned on the handle for giving voice commands for looping the rope, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the frame for capturing and processing multiple images of the branch, a laser sensor positioned on the member for detecting diameter of the branch, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 5 installed with the member for gripping the free-end of the rope, a motorized slider 6 configured between the rod and member for translating the rod in a manner to loop the rope around the branch, a robotic arm 7 installed in proximity to the second end of the frame to cut the sub-branch."
