MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018194 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'rope management device.'
Inventor(s) include Amit Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rope management device, comprises of a curved elongated body 1 positioned over a fixed surface to accommodate a pair of ropes, multiple suction units to affix body 1 with the surface, an ultrasonic sensor to detect shape of the surface, multiple primary motorized hinge joints to modulate shape of the body 1, a microphone 3 accessed by a user to provide voice commands for gripping the accommodated ropes, plurality of secondary motorized hinge joints to deploy C-shaped member 4 for gripping the ropes, a laser measurement sensor to detect smooth condition of the ropes, multiple pneumatic pins 5 to extend and increase friction of the ropes, an imaging unit 6 to detect movement of the ropes and an electromagnetic spring to move links 7 for controlling movement of ropes."
