MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010782 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'room service management system for hotels.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A room service management system for hotels, comprises of a user-interface installed in a computing accessed by a customer residing in a hotel room to provide input regarding different items required by customer, a display panel 1 installed within kitchen 2 of hotel to display items required by customer, a cuboidal body 3 configured with multiple compartments for storing items to be served to the customer, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module to fetch real-time location of body 3, tri-wheel assemblies 4 to position the body 3 at door of the room, an imaging unit 5 to detect images of customer, a display screen 6 to display a QR (Quick Response) code to be accessed by customer for making payment, motorized sliding units to translate compartments out of body 3, telescopically operated grippers 7 and nozzle 9 work in collaboration to clean the table."
