MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005332 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 25, 2024, for 'rooftop waterproofing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rooftop waterproofing device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with multiple telescopic rods 2 that provides support to body 1 on a rooftop, a motorized wheel 3 providing movement to body 1 on rooftop, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 or capturing and processing images of rooftop for evaluating a 3D mapping of rooftop, a touch interactive display panel 5 enabling user to input details regarding a portion of rooftop that user desires to waterproof for actuating wheel 3 to position body 1, the microcontroller actuates electronic nozzle 7 for dispensing mixture on user specified portion, a chamber 8 storing multiple metal sheets for actuating robotic gripper 9 for placing sheet, followed by actuation of cutting unit 10 for cutting sheet, a telescopically operated punch 11 actuated by microcontroller for extending to bend sheet that aids in successful installation of sheet on rooftop."
