MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441080104 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 11, 2024, for 'roofer assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. M. Sudhakara Reddy.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A roofer assistive device comprises a wedge-shaped body 1 configured with plurality of suction cups 2 that are dedicated towards proper adherence of the body 1 on surface of the roof, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 3 capturing and processing multiple images of a user standing in close proximity of the body 1, a flap 4 attached with the body 1 via a pair of hydraulically operated rods 5 in view of providing a platform for the user to sit/stand, an angle sensor mapped on the body 1 for detecting orientation of the user while performing the operation, a chamber 6 installed inside the body 1 storing multiple tools, and a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated bars 7 integrated with suction units 8 positioned at one of sides of the body 1."
