MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013479 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'roof construction assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Nitin Verma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A roof construction assistive device, encompasses a platform 1 on a ground surfaces for marking support bar locations and is wirelessly connected to a user-controlled computing unit, a camera 2 on the platform 1 helps a built-in microcontroller in determining ground dimensions, with multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 underneath platform 1 are used to position the platform 1 per user inputs, a scotch-yoke mechanism, equipped with a hammer 6, on the platform 1 creates markings on the ground for support bar placement based on user-specified material and roof height."
