MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617020060 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 20, for 'roll map creation system.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Jae Hwan; Kim, Min Su; and Choi, Ee Beom.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a roll map creation system for creating roll maps for a series of roll-to-roll processes in which processes for moving an electrode unwound from an unwinder and rewinding the electrode on a rewinder are sequentially repeated, the roll map creation system comprising a roll map generation device that creates, for each of the processes, a roll map which is defined as a coordinate plane having two coordinate axes in the longitudinal direction and the width direction of the electrode, respectively, and in which the position of the electrode in each of the processes can be displayed as coordinate values of the coordinate plane. The roll map creation device includes a roll map matching unit that matches the coordinate values of the roll map of each of the processes and the coordinate values of the roll map of the final process among the series of roll-to-roll processes so that an actual electrode represented by the roll map of the final process and actual electrodes represented by the roll maps of each of the processes prior to the final process match. When the up-down direction in which the rewinder of a preceding first roll-to-roll process winds the electrode is the same as the up-down direction in which the unwinder of a second roll-to-roll process following the first roll-to-roll process unwinds the electrode, the roll map matching unit inverts the width direction coordinates of the roll map of the second roll-to-roll process, thereby matching same to the roll map of the first roll-to-roll process."
