MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421075267 A) filed by Truspectra India Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct. 4, 2024, for 'robotic system and end effectors for large ships and aircrafts.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a robotic system (100A) for barnacle handling and ship surface preparation. The system includes a robotic manipulator (102) mounted on a stabilization platform (116) with a vertical linear guide (104) integrated with a chassis (110) of a vehicle. The system includes a dynamic counter-weight assembly with counterweights positioned along X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis. The system includes an electromagnetic suspension system (108) to maintain stability and dampen excitation frequencies. The system includes detachable barnacle handling assembly end effectors (122) including a hydraulic linear actuation system (204) integrated with the magnetic wheels for locking end effectors on a ship surface, and a skiving cutter housing with skiving cutter housing (208), skiving cutters (206) and brushes associated with the hydraulic linear actuation system (204). The system includes an indexing mechanism mounted on a central shaft positioned below the chassis (110) for rotating of the end effectors."
